Puri emphasized India's rising energy demand, underlining the need for a focus on availability, affordability, and sustainability in the energy sector. Despite being a significant global consumer of crude oil, India's exploration sector remains largely untapped, with vast reserves awaiting discovery. Puri outlined plans to expand exploration acreage significantly by 2030. The upcoming GEO India 2024 conference is expected to provide a platform for industry experts and innovators to drive an energy revolution in the country, ensuring energy security and meeting future challenges.
