Datuk Seri Hasni Mohammad, the Johor Sustainability Centre chairman, expressed Johor's interest in collaborating with Sarawak on renewable energy initiatives, especially focusing on hydrogen technology. A state government delegation led by Menteri Besar Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi is set to visit Sarawak to strengthen cooperation and exchange expertise in developing renewable energy sources. Sarawak aims to export renewable energy to Singapore using hydrogen technology, presenting a valuable learning opportunity for Johor. Premier Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg of Sarawak has announced plans for the state to become a significant hydrogen fuel producer and supplier in Southeast Asia starting in 2023. Additionally, Paragon Globe Berhad (PGB) is planning to establish a green industrial park, PGB @ Tech Park @ Nusajaya in Iskandar Puteri, Johor, with a substantial gross development value. The project, set on a 115.90-acre freehold land, aims to be the first green industrial park in Johor to achieve the Green Real Estate Gold certification.
