Hoku Energy and Manies group have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to jointly work on green ammonia and hydrogen projects in Japan. Manies, an investment firm specializing in next-generation technologies and infrastructure, is focusing on transitioning to decarbonization as part of its medium-term goals. On the other hand, Hoku Energy Group is dedicated to projects in the green hydrogen and ammonia sectors in Asia, aiming to offer carbon-free energy solutions to industrial players aiming for carbon neutrality by 2030. The collaboration between Hoku Energy K.K. and Manies aims to establish partnerships with industry players and local communities to drive project development in Japan, a significant market in this sector. The immediate focus is on evaluating and progressing green ammonia and hydrogen initiatives in Western Japan, with plans to conduct feasibility and front-end engineering design studies in the near future.
