Oracle Power PLC has extended its strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with China Electric Power and Technology Co., Ltd (CET) for the Green Hydrogen Project in Thatta, Sindh Province, Pakistan. The project, set to expire in 2025, has now been renewed until 2027. CET, a subsidiary of the State Grid Corporation of China and the world's largest utility company, aims to accelerate the development of this project. The Green Hydrogen Project includes a Hybrid Renewable Energy Production and Storage facility with 800MW of solar and 500MW of wind power, alongside battery storage. Once operational, the facility is expected to produce 150,000kg of hydrogen per day, making it one of the largest green hydrogen projects in Asia. Naheed Memon, CEO of Oracle, has expressed gratitude for CET's support and highlighted the progress made in technical and financial studies. The partnership extension reflects CET's dedication to the project's advancement. Oracle Energy is now focused on securing off-take arrangements and finalizing financial agreements to bring this ambitious green hydrogen project to fruition.
