Toyota Indonesia has opened its first hydrogen fuelling station, the Hydrogen Refuelling System (HRS), at the xEV Centre TMMIN Karawang Plant 3. This initiative, part of Toyota's 'Beyond Zero' vision, aims to promote sustainability and introduce hydrogen as an alternative energy source across sectors like industry, energy, and mobility. The HRS, equipped with 350-bar and 700-bar pumps, targets both short and long-range vehicles, including trucks and Toyota's Mirai. While the introduction of the Mirai in Indonesia is still under review, Toyota highlights the vehicle's zero-emission operation and efficiency. The collaboration between Toyota Indonesia and local entities, including the government, PLN, BRIN, Pertamina, and academia, underscores the collective effort towards sustainable energy practices. Indonesia's push towards hydrogen fueling aligns with its net-zero goals, crucial for combating the country's carbon footprint, notably from the transportation sector.
