ACME Cleantech, a homegrown renewable energy producer in India, has partnered with Germany-based chemical company BASF to supply green ammonia to European markets. The agreement aims to promote the use of green hydrogen and ammonia for decarbonization. ACME Cleantech is also planning to establish green hydrogen and green ammonia projects in India at Tuticorin and Gopalpur, with ongoing work in Oman at Duqm. The partnership involves a Heads of Agreement (HoA) for green ammonia supply to Europe and a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for exploring further collaborations in the green ammonia sector. The companies state that this partnership is in line with their sustainability and innovation commitments, covering the entire value chain from production to market development. By fostering cross-border collaboration, the initiative reinforces the commitment to decarbonization in the region and accelerates the utilization of green hydrogen and ammonia. ACME Cleantech is recognized as one of the largest renewable energy producers in India and is positioned among the top 10 renewable energy players in the country.
