Saudi Arabian energy company ACWA Power has partnered with Snam to collaborate on establishing a green hydrogen supply chain from Saudi Arabia to Europe. The memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the two companies aims at exploring joint investments to set up an international supply chain for green hydrogen. Additionally, they will assess the development of an ammonia import terminal in Italy to facilitate the delivery of green hydrogen through the SoutH2 Corridor, which spans 3,300km reaching central Europe through Italy, Austria, and Germany. Both companies expressed enthusiasm about driving advancements in the green hydrogen sector to decarbonize various industries. The partnership also includes the development of an ammonia import terminal, aligning with the EU's decarbonization targets.
