Elyse Energy has secured a significant investment of €120 million from Hy24, PGGM, Bpifrance, and Mirova to drive the development of hydrogen-based sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) and e-methanol production projects in France and Spain. The funding will support the advancement of Elyse's most advanced projects, including BioTJet, eM-Rhône, and eM-Numancia, with the potential to save 700,000 tonnes of CO2 equivalents annually. The company aims to deploy nearly 2.5GW of installed capacity and produce over one million tonnes of e-methanol and 200,000 tonnes of SAF each year. This investment marks a significant step towards decarbonizing the maritime and aviation sectors, crucial for achieving European energy transition goals.
