Hydrogen Europe and Women in Green Hydrogen (WiGH) have entered into a Partnership Agreement to boost the presence and impact of women in the hydrogen sector. WiGH, a network dedicated to supporting women in hydrogen, seeks to elevate women's voices and influence within the industry. The collaboration between Hydrogen Europe and WiGH aims to promote gender balance in industry discussions and events like the upcoming European Hydrogen Week. By ensuring more women participate in panels and featuring women professionals in Hydrogen Europe's publications, the partnership strives to increase visibility and recognition for women in hydrogen. Dr Sopna Sury, Chair of Hydrogen Europe, expressed excitement about the initiative, highlighting the importance of diverse representation in technical and executive roles within the hydrogen sector. Additionally, Hydrogen Europe will back the establishment of the WiGH Brussels Hub in 2024, gathering women driving hydrogen growth in Europe’s capital. Through this partnership, both organizations aim to empower current women in the sector, encourage more women to pursue hydrogen careers, and foster innovation and sustainability in the industry.
