Irizar's i6S Efficient Hydrogen coach has made headlines by setting a new record for the longest distance ever driven by a hydrogen coach in Europe. The coach, which demonstrated an impressive range of 900km during a trial, covered a total distance of 2,500km from Ormaiztegi, Spain to Briançon, French Alps, showcasing the capabilities of hydrogen-powered vehicles. Irizar's commitment to sustainable mobility was further emphasized by the efficient refuelling speeds of the hydrogen coach, with full refuelling taking less than 20 minutes at multiple stations along the route. The company's Export Director, Javier Goikoetxea, expressed pride in this achievement and highlighted the potential for widespread adoption of clean technologies in Europe. The i6S Efficient Hydrogen coach, featuring a zero-emissions H2 system, is equipped with a 510-horsepower electric motor and has the ability to operate in electric mode when needed. With plans for mass production and ongoing projects in the pipeline, Irizar is at the forefront of European innovation in clean energy and sustainable transportation.
