Provaris Energy Ltd, in partnership with Uniper and Norwegian Hydrogen, has taken a significant step towards advancing the green hydrogen supply chain to Europe. They have executed a conditional term sheet for the supply, transport, and offtake of renewable green hydrogen for a minimum of 10 years, paving the way for a binding hydrogen sale and purchase agreement. Under this agreement, 42,500 tonnes per year of RFNBO-certified hydrogen will be transported as gaseous compressed hydrogen using Provaris' H2Neo carriers from Nordic sites to Europe, with Uniper responsible for the receiving terminal. The collaboration targets the early delivery of hydrogen in 2029, establishing Europe's first regional hydrogen marine transport project at scale. The project also focuses on lowering the delivered cost of hydrogen by providing an efficient and cost-effective supply chain that increases renewable energy availability for hydrogen production. This initiative showcases innovation in the energy sector and the development of sustainable hydrogen supply chains within Europe.
