A groundbreaking development in the energy sector, a joint development agreement has been forged to establish the world's first liquid hydrogen corridor connecting Oman, the Netherlands, and Germany. This initiative will link the Port of Duqm in Oman, the Port of Amsterdam in the Netherlands, and key logistics hubs in Germany, including the Port of Duisburg, facilitating the import of renewable liquid hydrogen to Europe. The agreement involves eleven key parties, such as Hydrom, OQ, Tata Steel, Hamburger Hafen und Logistik, and Hynetwork, ensuring the coordination of critical components for the corridor's success. Essential aspects of the agreement include the creation of a centralized liquefaction, storage, and export facility in Oman, pricing discussions for hydrogen delivery in Amsterdam, the development of dedicated infrastructure along the corridor, and the involvement of German EnBW as an aggregator.
