This strategic initiative aims to build a virtual hydrogen highway on First Nations land, facilitating travel with NetZero hydrogen vehicles. The project, expected to require an investment of up to $1 billion over the next decade, will include the introduction of Class 8 hydrogen-electric trucks for freight transportation and future passenger vehicles. Financing options for this ambitious project include government grants, potential bonds, and sales of green hydrogen, with a revenue-sharing model for hydrogen sales and aspirations to export hydrogen to Europe through a local port. Furthermore, RONN is finalizing a separate joint venture with several hydrogen contracts. This endeavor forms part of a broader strategy that involves three wind farms, hydrogen pilot programs for local utilities, and airport heating. Through this collaboration, RONN aims to promote sustainability, economic development, and innovation in the hydrogen and renewable energy sectors.
