SEFE and marine infrastructure provider Höegh Evi have entered a partnership to develop international supply chains for clean hydrogen in Europe, specifically targeting delivery to Germany and other European locations. The collaboration involves analyzing the technical and commercial feasibility of various corridors for clean hydrogen supply based on ammonia. SEFE will handle the sourcing of ammonia and manage the global hydrogen demand, including investments in the German hydrogen core grid. On the other hand, Höegh Evi will provide midstream infrastructure connecting the projects to international hydrogen markets, focusing on transportation by ship and floating import terminal infrastructure. The joint effort aims to establish clean hydrogen supply chains by converting ammonia to hydrogen at floating terminals, enabling the delivery of dispatchable and baseload-ready clean hydrogen to industrial customers. This initiative is seen as a significant step in advancing the energy transition in Europe, with SEFE and Höegh Evi at the forefront of investing in infrastructure and technology for clean hydrogen production.
