SEFE Securing Energy for Europe and marine infrastructure provider Höegh Evi have entered a partnership to develop international supply chains for clean hydrogen. The collaboration, focused on ammonia-based transportation, aims to deliver clean hydrogen to Germany and other parts of Europe. SEFE will be responsible for securing the supply of clean hydrogen and its sale in Germany and Europe. On the other hand, Höegh Evi will contribute by providing infrastructure for the transport and import of clean hydrogen through floating terminals. The agreement includes sourcing ammonia, shipping transportation, and cracking ammonia into hydrogen at floating import terminals. SEFE will manage the upstream supply portfolio, hydrogen aggregation, and investments in the German hydrogen core grid. Höegh Evi will facilitate the midstream infrastructure, connecting Germany to global hydrogen markets through ammonia transportation and floating import terminal infrastructure. The partnership between SEFE and Höegh Evi aims to support customer decarbonisation and advance Germany's energy transition goals. By exploring various supply chain opportunities, the companies are striving to create international clean hydrogen supply chains that contribute to the energy transition and provide cost-competitive clean hydrogen to industrial customers.
