Envision Energy has entered a landmark partnership with the Spanish Government to propel Spain to the forefront of green hydrogen innovation in Europe. The collaboration aims to develop the first integrated green hydrogen net zero industrial park on the continent, focusing on decarbonizing hard-to-abate industries in Spain. The industrial park will host key technologies such as electrolysis, ammonia synthesis, and scalable green ammonia production facilities, contributing significantly to Spain's goal of reducing Greenhouse Gas emissions by 23% by 2030. This initiative, part of a Memorandum of Understanding signed during the Spanish Prime Minister's visit to China, underlines a significant step towards Spain's green hydrogen adoption plans. The project, backed by an initial investment of USD 1 billion, is expected to create 1,000 new green jobs and deliver five gigawatts of electrolysis capacity, aligning with Spain's Hydrogen Roadmap targets for 2030. In addition to the industrial park, Envision will establish a state-of-the-art Green Hydrogen Centre of Excellence aimed at fostering innovation in the green hydrogen value chain. This center will focus on skill development, innovation catalysis, and industrial collaborations to drive down hydrogen production costs and showcase the commercial viability of green hydrogen. The construction of the facility is scheduled to begin in 2026, with the support of the Spanish Government in identifying the optimal site for development. The project marks a pivotal moment in Spain's journey towards a sustainable, green energy future, with Envision Energy playing a key role in securing the nation's position as a European leader in green hydrogen.
