The H2Accelerate collaboration has expanded with the inclusion of TEAL Mobility as its eighth member, aiming to expedite the adoption of hydrogen as a road fuel, particularly for heavy-duty vehicles in Europe. TEAL Mobility plans to deploy over 100 hydrogen refuelling stations along European road corridors in the next ten years, with initial targets set for around 20 stations in France, the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, and Germany by 2024. This joint venture between Air Liquide and TotalEnergies leverages the strengths of both companies to produce low carbon and renewable hydrogen and develop the necessary distribution infrastructure. The collaboration aligns with the European Union's 2030 HDV CO2 targets. Hannah Bryson-Jones, the spokesperson for H2Accelerate, expressed excitement about TEAL Mobility's dedication to establishing a pan-European hydrogen refuelling network, emphasizing the importance of collective efforts to accelerate green hydrogen deployment for trucking. Florentin de Loppinot, CEO of TEAL Mobility, highlighted the commitment to fast-tracking hydrogen mobility through collaboration between infrastructure providers and vehicle manufacturers, stressing the need for a balanced growth in supply and demand for hydrogen trucking to be successful.
