The UK and France have joined forces to advance their efforts in transitioning to a net zero energy system by collaborating on a bilateral energy partnership. In March 2023, former Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and President Macron finalized this agreement, which includes a focus on hydrogen as a key element in their energy strategies. Building on this partnership, SIN France, a research organization, played a crucial role in bringing together the UK's national hydrogen research hubs, UK HyRES and UK HiACT, to engage in a brokerage event with their French equivalents. This event aimed to align research priorities, foster collaboration, and drive innovation in the hydrogen sector.
