As fuel prices soar and environmental concerns grow, Indian buyers are seeking alternatives to petrol and diesel vehicles. Mathematics professor Bilal Ahmad, realizing the need for sustainability, founded BISA (Bilal's Innovative Solar Automobiles) to develop a solar-powered car. After a decade of dedication, Bilal successfully created the BISA Ray, a solar car based on a Maruti 800 with Monocrystalline solar panels covering all surfaces. In addition to the innovative panels, remote-controlled functionality and a battery pack were incorporated for efficient energy usage. Bilal's investment of Rs 20 Lakh into the project paid off as his creation garnered attention from prominent figures like the Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir and Anand Mahindra. The industry support and recognition have propelled BISA towards its goal of mass-producing affordable sustainable energy vehicles. With a vision to introduce Solar Rickshaws in Kashmir, Bilal aims to revolutionize transportation with renewable energy sources.
