Mitsubishi Gas Chemical Company, Inc., Methanol Reformer S.L., and Element 1 Corp. have recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding to collaborate on developing innovative hydrogen solutions through methanol reforming technology. The focus of this collaboration is to accelerate the development, manufacturing, and sales of Methanol-to-Hydrogen generators that are designed to be modular and easily producible. Each company brings unique expertise to the table: MGC will supply methanol feedstock, including circular carbon methanol; Methanol Reformer S.L. will utilize its manufacturing capabilities for the generators under license from Element 1; and Element 1 Corp. will contribute its intellectual property related to methanol steam reforming and hydrogen purification. The strategic partnership aims to fill the gaps in regions where hydrogen availability is limited or costly and to contribute to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions by using circular carbon methanol.
