Debmalya Sen has been appointed as the new President of the India Energy Storage Alliance (IESA) with a focus on leading advancements in energy storage, e-mobility, and green hydrogen. The aim is to bolster India's standing as a global hub for sustainable energy solutions. IESA, established in 2012 by Customised Energy Solutions (CES), boasts a membership of over 180 companies across various sectors like energy storage, EVs, green hydrogen, microgrids, and clean tech startups. Debmalya Sen's appointment brings a wealth of experience from his previous role at the World Economic Forum, where he closely collaborated with Indian policymakers to shape the country's energy storage policies. Vinayak Walimbe, Managing Director of Customised Energy Solutions India Pvt Ltd, highlighted that Debmalya will spearhead strategic initiatives, industry partnerships, and advocacy efforts to drive the wider adoption of energy storage solutions in India. IESA, under Debmalya's leadership, will continue its vital initiatives like battery supply chain development, e-mobility adoption, green hydrogen R&D, energy storage roadmap shaping, and battery recycling best practices. Debmalya Sen expressed his enthusiasm for leading IESA during this crucial phase of India's energy transition.
