In the EuroTech Future Award 2024, 28 early-career researchers competed for recognition based on their contributions to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals set by the United Nations. Patricia Mora, a postdoctoral fellow at Technion – Israel Institute of Technology, won the 1st Prize for her work on nanomedicine targeting neurological diseases. Yudong Xue from EPFL secured the 2nd Prize for his research on nanocoatings with applications in hydrogen production, wastewater treatment, and healthcare. Melisa Benard Valle of Technical University of Denmark claimed the 3rd Prize for her innovative research on developing a new generation of antivenoms using nanobodies. The award jury, including Vice-Presidents for Research of EuroTech member universities and the Head of the EuroTech Brussels Office, praised the winners for their outstanding work in advancing sustainable solutions and effectively communicating their research impact.
