The 7th edition of the Global Sustainable Technology & Innovation Conference (G-STIC) kicked off in New Delhi, emphasizing the alignment of technology, policy, and business strategies for sustainable development. The event, hosted by TERI in partnership with VITO and other co-hosts, brought together policymakers, industry leaders, and experts to explore innovative solutions for climate change, resource scarcity, and economic challenges. The conference focused on water sustainability, climate action, and fostering global partnerships to accelerate market-ready technologies for a sustainable future. Shri Hardeep Singh Puri highlighted the significance of biofuels and green hydrogen in India's energy transition, aiming to achieve 20 percent blending by 2025. The conference also stressed the importance of water management for economic growth, biodiversity conservation, and energy security. Panel discussions covered topics like health, education, energy, water, and climate action, encouraging global partnerships and knowledge exchange. India's initiatives like the 'Jal Jeevan Mission' and 'National Water Mission' were showcased as efforts to improve water access and contribute to the country's goal of achieving net-zero emissions by 2070.
