GAIL (India) and Accelera™ by Cummins, the zero-emissions business segment of Cummins Inc., have entered a partnership by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate broadly in sustainable, green energy and energy transition technologies in India. The MoU, inked at the ongoing India Energy Week 2025, aims to leverage Accelera's expertise in New Energy businesses and GAIL's established Natural Gas infrastructure to explore opportunities in new energy ventures, particularly in hydrogen-related initiatives. GAIL's acceleration of its 'Net Zero' Targets from 2040 to 2035 emphasizes its commitment to reducing carbon emissions. The collaboration will delve into areas such as hydrogen application in transport, power, steel, and other industries, covering aspects like mono fuel or dual feed options like LNG/Hydrogen/CNG blends, blending hydrogen in natural gas pipelines, and enhancing infrastructure for hydrogen production, transportation, and storage. This partnership signifies a significant step towards promoting sustainable energy practices and fostering the adoption of eco-friendly fuel alternatives in India.
