Gensol Engineering, in partnership with Matrix Gas & Renewables, has secured a significant win in India by securing a 237 MW capacity bidding under the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme. This initiative, part of the National Green Hydrogen Mission, aims to establish an electrolyser manufacturing plant to support the production of green hydrogen. The cumulative capacity awarded to the Gensol-Matrix consortium, including a prior 63 MW, amounts to Rs. 450 Crore in incentives. The companies plan to leverage their expertise in green hydrogen and its derivatives like Green Steel and Green Ammonia. This project aligns with India's ambitious goal of producing 5 million metric tons of green hydrogen annually by 2030. The successful bid not only showcases the technical capabilities of the consortium but also underscores their commitment to sustainable energy and decarbonization. The companies are optimistic about the new growth opportunities and collaborations in the renewable energy sector, emphasizing India's potential to lead in low-carbon energy solutions.
