The Process Equipment division of Godrej Enterprises Group has announced a significant investment of ₹200 crore to further develop its advanced manufacturing facility in Dahej, Gujarat. This investment is part of the Phase-III expansion, which will see the facility's annual manufacturing capacity rise to around 30,000 MT. The expansion includes specialized areas like a Dust-free Enclosure for exotic materials and dedicated bays for internals manufacturing, aimed at enhancing capabilities for producing high-end process equipment for various sectors, including hydrogen, nuclear, geothermal energy, refineries, and petrochemicals. Hussain Shariyarr, the Executive Vice President & Business Head, emphasized the company's commitment towards cleaner energy and the growing need for specialized equipment. The strategic expansion will enable the company to manufacture advanced, large-scale equipment for clean energy applications, contributing to India's role in the global energy transition. The facility's Extended Fabrication Yard and Advanced Heat Treatment Furnace will cater to large and complex equipment, incorporating sustainability practices like reducing carbon emissions and achieving Zero Waste to Landfill certification. The integration of Industry 4.0 technologies and automation exceeding 80% will enhance precision, efficiency, and reliability in manufacturing. Additionally, the facility's sea-going jetty will facilitate the direct transportation of oversized equipment to international markets, with 70% of the current production being exported to over 40 countries worldwide. This expansion not only strengthens domestic manufacturing but also positions India as a key player in providing world-class manufacturing solutions for the energy industry.
