A Hyderabad-based startup called Hylenr has launched a groundbreaking low-energy nuclear reactor (LENR) that utilizes a form of nuclear fusion with hydrogen molecules to generate clean energy. This innovative product, which can be placed on a tabletop, aims to meet household energy needs efficiently. The launch event in Hyderabad was attended by prominent figures in the scientific community, including Padma Shri Dr Prahlada Ramarao and Dr Varaprasad from Hylenr. The reactor is designed to amplify heat through nuclear fusion, producing excess heat that can be used for various applications like heating rooms, induction heating, and steam production. Notably, the technology boasts zero emissions and radioactivity, ensuring environmental safety. During testing, the LENR technology demonstrated impressive heat amplification ratios, emphasizing its potential in revolutionizing energy generation. The company has received a patent from the Government of India for its innovative reactor technology. Hylenr plans to further invest and raise funds to accelerate the commercialization of the product, with research and development facilities in Hyderabad and Bengaluru. This development marks a significant step towards clean energy innovation and showcases the potential of nuclear technology in meeting energy demands sustainably.
