The IIT Bombay and HSBC India Green Hydrogen programme have joined forces to drive the development and deployment of green hydrogen technologies in India. This collaboration aims to enhance the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of green hydrogen production. Six innovative projects from leading educational institutions have been selected for incubation under this program, focusing on critical aspects such as production, storage, transportation, and utilization of green hydrogen. These projects address key challenges in the sector, including the development of indigenous hydrogen storage systems and cost-effective generators to reduce carbon emissions and improve air quality. Through incubation at IIT Bombay, these solutions will be refined for commercial readiness, promoting the scalability and sustainability of green hydrogen. The initiative aligns with India's National Green Hydrogen Mission, which envisions establishing a robust green hydrogen economy and achieving energy independence. The commitment to green hydrogen as a strategic fuel alternative underscores the government's efforts to support a global green hydrogen transition and create a sustainable energy landscape.
