During a business roundtable in Vienna, India's Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman emphasized the priority areas for enhancing the bilateral relationship between India and Austria. These sectors include green and digital technologies, infrastructure, renewable energy, water management, life sciences, electric mobility, and transportation. Sitharaman urged Austrian companies to explore investment opportunities in India, specifically mentioning emerging sectors like green hydrogen and electric vehicles. The Finance Minister highlighted the importance of start-ups and innovation for both countries, pointing out India's substantial number of unicorns and successful start-ups. Austria acknowledged the strain caused by new US tariffs and stressed the significance of strengthening economic cooperation with partner countries. Both countries aim to benefit from sustainable trade practices.
