India and Germany have reinforced their dedication to enhancing bilateral cooperation in science, technology, and innovation. Union Minister Jitendra Singh and Minister-President of the German State of Bavaria, Markus Soder, led high-level discussions focusing on key areas like Artificial Intelligence, Quantum Technologies, Biotechnology, Clean Energy, Electric Mobility, Cyber-Physical Systems, and Green Hydrogen. Minister Singh highlighted India's mission-mode programs under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership that aim for economic and sustainable solutions through scientific and technological interventions, with Germany being a crucial partner in this vision. The Indo-German 2+2 collaboration model, integrating academia and industry efforts, was commended for its role in fostering innovation-driven ecosystems to tackle global challenges. Singh lauded India's advancements in biotech, with over 3000 startups and a focus on the BIOe3 policy to propel biotech innovation. Additionally, he emphasized India's appeal for tech partnerships, ranking 3rd globally in startups and unicorns. The bilateral discussions also underscored increasing academic exchanges between the two nations, with a rising number of Indian students in German universities. The hope for more German students to explore India's intellectual heritage and scientific capabilities was expressed, signifying a deepening academic bond between the countries.
