The India Energy Storage Alliance (IESA) is set to unveil a white paper at the India Energy Storage Week 2024 in New Delhi. The white paper will address key policy and regulatory challenges for electric vehicles (EV), cleantech, green hydrogen, and battery storage. It aims to pave the way for a sustainable future that includes a focus on renewables. The release of this white paper is part of the efforts to make India a global cleantech hub. The document will be presented to seven Union ministries and over 200 global energy leaders from 50 countries participating in the event. The President of IESA, Rahul Walawalkar, emphasized the importance of the white paper in supporting India's clean energy journey under the Modi 3.0 government. The India Energy Storage Week (IESW) 2024 is expected to facilitate constructive dialogue between industry stakeholders and government departments to advance the EV, cleantech, green hydrogen, and battery storage ecosystems in India. The event will feature the participation of top government officials including the New & Renewable Energy Secretary Bhupinder Singh Bhalla, as well as officials from various ministries and agencies. The focus will be on energy storage requirements for modernizing the Indian electricity grid and achieving India's renewable energy targets.
