The India Energy Storage Alliance (IESA) plans to release a 'white paper' at the India Energy Storage Week (IESW) 2024, addressing key policy and regulatory challenges in electric vehicles (EV), cleantech, green hydrogen, and battery storage sectors. The white paper aims to suggest immediate steps for achieving the green energy transition vision as India moves towards clean energy under the Modi 3.0 government. The IESW event in New Delhi will bring together over 200 global energy leaders from 50 countries to facilitate dialogues between the industry and government departments, focusing on EV, cleantech, and green hydrogen ecosystems. The Stationary Storage Day inauguration, led by New & Renewable Energy Secretary Bhupinder Singh Bhalla, will highlight the importance of modernizing India's electricity grid to meet ambitious renewable energy targets. The event will see participation from senior officials from various ministries, Central Electricity Authority, Central Electricity Regulatory Authority, and stakeholders to discuss supporting energy storage adoptions in the country. Representatives from ministries of heavy industries, mines, power, environment, NITI Aayog, state-level agencies, and other stakeholders are expected to engage in the discussions.
