India and the European Union have joined forces to advance the green hydrogen sector, finalizing a roadmap that emphasizes infrastructure development, technology cooperation, and supply chain improvement. The 10th meeting of the India-EU Energy Panel in Brussels facilitated discussions on enhancing cooperation in key areas such as green hydrogen, offshore wind energy, regional connectivity, electricity market integration and smart grids, energy efficiency, and energy and climate diplomacy. A work plan for the third phase of the India-EU Clean Energy and Climate Partnership 2025-28 was adopted, outlining a detailed agenda for deeper collaboration. Both parties are dedicated to fostering green hydrogen cooperation, including evaluating infrastructure feasibility, regulatory alignment, technology exchange, and bolstering supply chains. Moreover, India and the EU have committed to long-term research partnerships to drive advancements in clean energy projects, underscoring their joint efforts in clean and green technology innovation and development.
