The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) partnered with the British Standards Institution (BSI) and the UK government to organize a two-day workshop on Green Hydrogen standards in New Delhi. The event aimed to enhance India-UK cooperation on hydrogen standardization and promote clean energy transitions. The workshop highlighted the significance of knowledge exchange, standardization, and innovation in developing a sustainable hydrogen market. Both countries share the ambition to lead in green hydrogen and work towards a net zero future. The collaboration under the UK government’s Standards Partnership program focused on increasing the use of international standards in India to drive growth, investment, and trade. The workshop stressed the adoption of safe, scalable, and globally harmonized regulations, codes, and standards for green hydrogen production. It also promoted the use of fast-track PAS standards and global hydrogen certification.
