IndianOil has handed over a green hydrogen fuel cell bus to the Indian Army, marking a crucial step towards sustainable mobility. The Memorandum of Understanding signed between IndianOil and the Indian Army highlights their dedication to deploying hydrogen fuel cell technology for heavy-duty e-mobility. The bus, with a seating capacity of 37 passengers, can travel an impressive 250-300 km on a full tank of hydrogen fuel. This collaboration emphasizes the Indian Army's commitment to embracing innovative technologies that enhance operational capabilities while ensuring environmental sustainability. General Manoj Pande, the Chief of Army Staff, and Mr. S M Vaidya, Chairman of IndianOil, expressed their enthusiasm for this initiative, recognizing the importance of promoting a greener and more sustainable future. The project will evaluate the performance of fuel cell electric buses in the challenging climatic conditions of Delhi NCR region, analyzing their efficiency and reliability for public transit.
