In a significant milestone towards promoting sustainable and eco-friendly transportation solutions, IndianOil has handed over a state-of-the-art green hydrogen fuel cell bus to the Indian Navy in New Delhi. This collaboration was commemorated by the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between IndianOil and the Indian Navy to advance the use of hydrogen fuel cell technology for heavy-duty e-mobility. With the presence of senior officials from both organizations, the MoU exchange took place at the Nau Sena Bhawan. IndianOil's existing operation of 15 fuel cell buses in Delhi-NCR and Gujarat has already covered 300,000 kilometres, with each bus expected to reach a mileage of at least 20,000 kms. This joint initiative between IndianOil and the Indian Navy aims to promote and evaluate hydrogen and fuel cell technology for heavy-duty e-mobility, showcasing the Indian Navy as a frontrunner in adopting innovative sustainable solutions in partnership with IndianOil, a leading energy company in India.
