Indian Oil has collaborated with the Indian Army to introduce a state-of-the-art green hydrogen fuel cell bus, showcasing a commitment to sustainable and eco-friendly transportation. A Memorandum of Understanding was signed to pioneer the deployment of hydrogen fuel cell technology for heavy-duty e-mobility. The ceremony, held at the National War Memorial in New Delhi, saw the presence of top officials including General Manoj Pande and S M Vaidya. General Pande expressed the Army's dedication to exploring innovative technologies for operational enhancement with environmental sustainability. The Indian Army will test one of the hydrogen buses, appreciating Indian Oil's choice of partnership. Indian Oil's Chairman Vaidya highlighted the significance of this collaboration for a greener future. The project aims to evaluate fuel-cell electric buses' performance in the challenging climate of Delhi NCR, assessing their longevity and reliability. This initiative is a stepping stone for future collaborations in advancing green hydrogen and fuel cell technologies in India.
