With India's surging fuel demand and abundant reserves, the government has undertaken reforms to boost the energy sector. These reforms include simplifying approval processes, transitioning to Revenue Sharing Contracts, and opening new exploration areas by reducing 'No-Go' zones. By increasing sedimentary basin exploration to 16% by 2025 and aiming for 1 million sq. km by 2030, India is enhancing its energy security. The country is also focusing on green hydrogen projects to become a global leader in green hydrogen production. The recent Open Acreage Licensing Policy bidding round marked a milestone, attracting significant interest. With a strong emphasis on data accessibility and industry collaboration, India is poised for a promising energy future.
