India's leadership in climate technology and sustainable development was celebrated as 10 Indian companies, including startups, secured positions among the top 100 climate tech firms selected by the Indo-Pacific Economic Framework for Prosperity (IPEF) Clean Economy Investor Forum. Led by Secretary of the Department of Commerce, Sunil Barthwal, an Indian delegation actively participated in the forum held in Singapore, resulting in USD 23 billion in investment opportunities for sustainable infrastructure projects in the region. The event highlighted investment potential in India's clean energy value chain, green hydrogen, electric vehicles, and infrastructure transition, with over USD 500 billion in investment opportunities by 2030. Indian companies pitched their concepts on energy transition, transport, logistics, and waste management to global investors, while startups showcased innovative ideas to tackle climate change. The forum witnessed the launch of the IPEF Catalytic Capital Fund and commitments from investors to inject billions into infrastructure investments in emerging markets. Notable was the signing of an Offtake Agreement for green ammonia production and export from India to Japan, aligning with India's National Green Hydrogen Mission. Indian officials emphasized the forum's role in facilitating funding and collaboration opportunities to achieve net-zero emissions by 2070, positioning India as a key player in the global transition to a greener, more sustainable future.
