The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) in India recently organized the RE-INVEST 2024 event in Gandhinagar, Gujarat, focusing on renewable energy investment, innovation, and inspiration. The event saw participation from various stakeholders including government officials, ministers, and industry leaders. The Vice President of India highlighted the importance of individual responsibility in climate action and emphasized the positive impact of renewable energy in rural areas. Key outcomes of the event included commitments from States/UTs, RE manufacturers, and financial institutions towards achieving 540 GW of renewable energy by 2030, which is expected to create jobs for 82 lakh people. Additionally, financial commitments totaling 386 billion USD were made, showcasing a significant push towards sustainable energy development. The event witnessed active participation from 363 companies, facilitating numerous B2B and B2G meetings to foster collaboration in the renewable energy sector. Various speakers, including government officials and industry experts, stressed the significance of sustainable energy practices and the role of renewable energy in mitigating environmental damage.
