EKA Mobility, in partnership with KPIT Technologies and Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL), has unveiled Kerala's first hydrogen-powered bus at Cochin International Airport. The 9-meter electric bus, equipped with KPIT's hydrogen fuel cell technology, can carry over 30 passengers and will undergo a three-year Proof of Concept (PoC) project. BPCL has established a hydrogen generation and refueling station in Kochi to support this project.
