Maire (MAIRE.MI) and Technimont's (Integrated E&C Solutions) Indian subsidiary, Tecnimont Private Limited (TCMPL), in collaboration with NextChem (Sustainable Technology Solutions), have been awarded an Engineering Design Study contract by Sembcorp Green Hydrogen India Pvt Ltd for a green ammonia plant in India. The project's first phase, the Front-End Engineering Design, will utilize NextChem's digital tool ArcHy to address the challenge of renewable power intermittency, enhancing capex and opex efficiency throughout the plant's lifecycle. By leveraging renewable energy production profiles gathered over various weather scenarios, the ArcHy tool will optimize the sizing of electrolyzers, storage systems, and green ammonia production facilities to minimize the levelized cost of ammonia. TCMPL will be responsible for designing all elements of the facility, providing specialized engineering services. Maire's CEO, Alessandro Bernini, highlighted the company's dedication to global energy transition projects, particularly in green ammonia plants, emphasizing their ability to offer decarbonization and cost-efficient solutions through a synergistic and integrated approach.
