Nextchem and KazMunayGas-Aero (KMG Aero) have signed an agreement to collaborate on advancing energy transition initiatives in Kazakhstan. This partnership aims to leverage Nextchem's proprietary technology portfolio and process engineering capabilities to contribute to the decarbonization and upgrade of Kazakhstan’s industry and assets. Specifically, the focus will be on the production of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) and low-carbon hydrogen through CO2 capture, as well as the implementation of circular solutions. Nextchem is at the forefront of sustainable innovation with its proprietary technologies for Sustainable Aviation Fuel, Waste-to-X solutions, and innovative solutions for large-scale production of low-carbon hydrogen and methanol. The collaboration will involve evaluating the feasibility of development initiatives in Kazakhstan, with Tecnimont being brought in for Engineering, Procurement, and Construction activities when projects progress to the execution phase. The signing of the MoU was a significant event attended by high-level officials from both countries, emphasizing the strategic value of this partnership. Alessandro Bernini, CEO of MAIRE, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, highlighting Kazakhstan's importance as a strategic partner in driving the global shift towards a sustainable and low-carbon economy.
