Italian company MAIRE, through its subsidiary NEXTCHEM, has secured a contract to design a new hydrogen production unit in Vietnam's Dung Quat Refinery. The subsidiary, KT Tech, will leverage its proprietary technology to create a unit with a capacity of 22,676 cubic metres per hour, focusing on cost-effectiveness and carbon footprint reduction through CO2 capture technology. The solution offers flexibility in feedstock and capacity, using steam methane reforming methods for efficiency. Once the project advances to the construction phase, KT TECH will also provide the necessary equipment for the steam methane reforming process. MAIRE's CEO, Alessandro Bernini, expressed pride in this achievement, highlighting the company's expertise in enhancing efficiency and reducing consumption in production plants through advanced technological solutions.
