Oriana Power, a renewable energy company, has secured a significant solar project worth Rs 247.88 crore from Bharat Petroleum Corporation (BPCL) to execute a 52 MW ground-mounted solar power project on an EPC basis. The scope of the contract includes CTU approval, transmission lines, and five years of operations and maintenance support. Oriana Power has a robust track record in the industry, with over 390 MW of cumulative capacity currently under execution and more than 240 MW of projects already delivered. The company has also reserved around 920 acres of land for future renewable energy projects across India and maintains a diverse portfolio in 22 states within the country. In a strategic move towards green technology, Oriana Power has partnered with Splitwaters, a US-based green hydrogen electrolyser manufacturer. They are set to establish a gigafactory for producing electrolysers and balance of plant modules crucial for green hydrogen and e-fuels production. The initial 500 MW capacity of the gigafactory is scheduled to be operational by 2026, with plans to add another 500 MW in 2027. Looking ahead, Oriana Power aims to extend its operations into the Middle-East, Africa, and Europe, showcasing its ambitions for international growth and commitment to sustainable energy solutions.
