Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently laid the foundation stone for projects totaling over ₹2 lakh crore in Andhra Pradesh, marking a significant boost to the state's development. One of the key projects inaugurated was India's first Green Hydrogen Hub at Pudimadaka near Visakhapatnam. This hub, under the National Green Hydrogen Mission, will involve a massive investment of around ₹1,85,000 Crore and focus on renewable energy production, aiming to achieve India's non-fossil energy capacity target of 500 GW by 2030. The hub is set to be one of India's largest integrated green hydrogen production facilities, facilitating the production of various green hydrogen derivatives for export markets. In addition to the Green Hydrogen Hub, the Prime Minister also dedicated various railway and road projects in Andhra Pradesh, including the foundation stone laying of South Coast Railway Headquarters at Visakhapatnam. These projects are designed to improve connectivity, reduce congestion, and promote regional social and economic growth. Furthermore, PM Modi laid the foundation stone for the Bulk Drug Park at Nakkapalli and the Krishnapatnam Industrial Area in Tirupati District. These projects are expected to generate thousands of jobs, attract manufacturing investments, and drive economic growth in the region. Overall, these initiatives reflect the government's focus on infrastructure development, renewable energy, job creation, and industrial growth in Andhra Pradesh.
