Solar Energy Corporation of India Ltd (SECI), under the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, has entered into an agreement with H2Global Stiftung to establish a cooperation framework to promote initiatives related to green hydrogen. The primary objective of this collaboration is to boost knowledge sharing on market-linked approaches and enhance collaboration between India and importing nations, thus supporting the international development of the green hydrogen economy. The agreement was signed by key representatives from both organizations and witnessed by notable officials on November 19, 2024. This partnership presents India with opportunities to engage in joint procurement concepts, specifically in organizing joint bids that align with India's aspiration to be a green hydrogen export center and its derivatives. By working together, India and H2Global Stiftung aim to gain valuable insights into the global hydrogen market operations, including aspects like product transportation and stakeholder engagement, which could significantly contribute to fostering green hydrogen projects in India and beyond.
