The company has commenced the front-end engineering and design work for the plant. This initiative involves India, Singapore, and Japan, with a heads-of-terms agreement signed between Sembcorp Green Hydrogen, Kyushu Electric Power, Sojitz Corporation, and Nippon Yusen Kabushiki Kaisha to facilitate cross-border green ammonia offtake. The project will see Sembcorp leading the production of green ammonia in India using renewable energy sources, with Kyushu Electric Power incorporating green ammonia into its energy mix in Japan. Sojitz Corporation will act as the business intermediary, while NYK Line will oversee the maritime transportation of green ammonia.
