SJVN, through its subsidiary SJVN Green Energy (SGEL), has entered into an MoU with AM Green Ammonia (India) for supplying renewable energy to green ammonia plants in Andhra Pradesh. AM Ammonia, a part of Greenko Group, is developing a significant green ammonia platform at Kakinada, with plans to scale up to one million tonne per annum (MTPA) initially and reach five MTPA by 2030. The agreement entails a long-term renewable energy supply arrangement between the parties. SGEL will embark on developing 4,500 MW of RE projects in India, comprising solar and wind projects, to cater to an annual supply of about 11,500 million units. This collaboration signifies SGEL's initial foray into the commercial and industrial sector. Both SGEL and AM Ammonia aim to establish innovative commercial frameworks, with a formal agreement expected shortly to outline the next steps.
