BGR Tech Ltd, a company based in India, has partnered with Elchemtech Co. Ltd from South Korea to introduce Advanced Proton Exchange Membrane Water Electrolyser (PEMWE) technology in India. This collaboration aims to enhance green hydrogen production by utilizing Elchemtech's high-efficiency PEM electrolysers integrated with BGR Tech's Balance of Plant (BoP) for multiple projects. The MoU signing at India Energy Week 2025 marked the formalization of this agreement. Both companies are exploring options to manufacture or assemble PEM stacks in India, in line with the 'Make in India' initiative, to localize essential electrolyser components and strengthen the green hydrogen ecosystem. Elchemtech's flagship product, H2Lyser© PEMWE, offers high efficiency and a compact design, showcasing a single stack capacity of 240 Nm³/hr or 1.25 MW. This product will be integrated seamlessly with BGR Tech's BoP, including various components like Ultrapure Water Treatment Unit, Gas Separation Unit, and Hydrogen Purification System. The collaboration is set to expand BGR Tech's product range, foster engineering innovation, and improve systems integration capabilities. BGR Tech specializes in renewable energy solutions and green hydrogen production systems, positioning itself as a key player in delivering scalable and modular hydrogen purification solutions to address the market's needs for clean energy alternatives.
